This is it. The time has come to leave France to discover an other part of the world : Greece.
With great excitement I joined the plane to land first in Zurich, where I had the big surprise to share my flight with a comrade from my school : an Eceen (this is how we say for member of the ECE school). We had the opportunity to share our feelings and our excitement for this new adventure.
Eager to join this country, it's finally after two long our of flight that I finally joined the Greek capital : Athens.
Panoramic view of parts of Athens from the airplane.
The city of Athens is full of surprises. It's a "bowl" city because it is surrounded by small mountains up to over 1 400m. Athens is part of the central plain of Attica.
Here, it is not unusual to find in the center of the city streets decorated with orange and lemon trees. Interesting isn't it?
The capital has more than 5 million people with a density of approximately 3 800 inhabitants per square meter. It is organized around the Greek ruins such as the Parthenon or the Acropolis which are the prids of the city and the country.
So here I am, ready to swim into this Mediterranean culture for 3 months!
