The Acropolis Museum


After the Acropolis, it seems rational to go to the museum! It complements the visit by allowing you to learn more about the Antique era !
The museum has been recently built. It highlights every each object by profiting almost all the time of natural light.
You will find the remains of sixth and seventh centuries, as well as the headlights periods of ancient Greece. The first floor is entirely devoted to religious objects out all right shrines, and presents the Mycenaean, Geometric and Archaic periods.

Greek Vestige

All vestiges that you will not get a chance to approach is presented in this museum.

The exhibits are varied, not only in terms of periods but also in terms of features.

Statues, vases, marble columns... Ancient history is all combined here.

This is the perfect place to throw in ancient times and enjoy the wealth offered by the people at that time.



Note that the museum was awarded the "Best Worldwide Tourism Project" of the British Guild of Travel Writers. Similarly, it was nominated for the Prize of the European Union for the contemporary "Mies van der Rohe" architecture.
With a such good reputation, why not present this museum as part of one of the "must" place of Athens?
